Oddly enough most of the readers say the book sounds as if Jack O’Connor himself had a hand in writing. This book features the famous legend “Jack O’Connor’s Last Hunt”. Jack Jr. and I hunted with Jack and Bradford O’Connor on Jack’s final hunt, in eastern Montana for big whitetail, deer and antelope. I told Jack that story about hunting tigers in North Korea during the war. Jack said “it was the damnedest story he ever heard”, and I should call the story Hunting Tigers the Hard Way. In part why I was wounded by enemy artillery, but got no tiger skin. Other great stories include Bongo in the Congo, and Big Sheep in Mongolia.
