Synopsis

The year is 1986. In a determined effort to change the course her life is taking, thirty-nine-year-old Sarah Branda travels to India. The problem is that she brings herself and her conditioning along with her. Sarah has always seen herself as caring, moral and responsible; she has been following the rules for a long time, but there don’t seem to be any rules in India. It takes some time, but eventually Sarah comes to believe that a life lived simply and with kindness benefits everyone. This story is a loving and sometimes inspiring look at India and a discovery of oneself.

À propos de l'auteur

Wendy T. Dompieri first traveled to India in 1979. Over the next 25 years she returned several times and was witness to the dramatic changes that took place in the country and its people. She uses the contrast of her suburban upbringing and her familiarity with India and its culture as a backdrop for most of her work. India, a land of color, noise and opposites, became a place that is ever in her heart. She now lives in upstate New York.
