Synopsis
Special Agent, Zeke Cabot, recently "Damaged in Service", has spent three weeks in New Mexico, trying to recover and cope with debilitating bouts of PTSD. After Anne Reynolds, the beautiful divorced nurse rescues her, Zeke finds herself captivated and her rigid defenses crumbling. Before the relationship takes root, Zeke is recalled to Chicago to help her team find answers and close this case from hell, but the tenderness she shared with Anne is never far from her thoughts. Anne Reynolds is cautiously excited by the alluring stranger but also leery and wrestles with her own conflicted feelings. When Zeke returns, their rekindled desire faces yet another obstacle. Once again, another ambush from a lingering menace threatens their safety. Are they both ready to explore a relationship? Is it safe for either to trust again?
