The author, Amber Smerdon Fernbach, is a wife and mother of two "special needs" children, both of which are on the autism spectrum. She received her bachelor's of science degree from Penn State University in the study of applied behavioral science. Aside from being a wife and mother, Amber enjoys crafts, photography, and socializing with friends.
