Synopsis
How do you view God? How do you relate to Him and what do you think He thinks of you? There is no more important issue in life than how we view God and what our relationship is with God. There is also no more difficult study than to seek to know God. Who knows how many books have been written on the nature of God? Streams of words have poured off of printing presses telling us about the qualities and attributes of God, and, no doubt, there will be no end to these as long as life goes on. In a way knowing God might seem an impossible task because man is the finite trying to describe the infinite God. It is the mortal trying to understand the immortal. But it is a task in which each of us must engage; not necessarily writing about God, but certainly trying our best to understand God. This book is based on the presupposition that God, and God alone, is absolutely holy. It is about how God’s holiness affects, really, magnifies, all of the other attributes and actions of God. When I say “magnifies” I do not mean simply “makes larger,” but rather intensifies, explains, and clarifies. God’s holiness is not merely one of the attributes of God; it is the foundational attribute upon which everything else about God rests.
