Synopsis

A haunting tale of murder and revenge ... Twelve-year old Jason goes on a church outing with Jimmy and four other boys. The organizer and chaperone is Deacon John. He takes the boys to a rustic cabin deep in the Brushy Mountains and introduces them to the mountainous terrain. The evening begins with a roaring fire, roasting marshmallows and boyish camaraderie. Dark clouds roll in and steal the moonlight. As Jason recalls his father's parting words, "Bad weather is on the way," streaks of lightning and rumbles of thunder eerily echo the foreboding words. Later in the night, a major storm front crashes down the mountain, wreaking havoc in its path. Jason and Jimmy are forced to run for their lives ... Ten years pass before Jason makes an ethereal pact in an effort to extort the ultimate revenge for his night of terror ... if he can only recall the details.

À propos de l'auteur

Sandy Harrington studied English and Fine Art in college before becoming actively involved in the Age of Enlightenment. She expresses her artistic talents in writing and painting. One of her short stories, "Dogs Do Go to Heaven" is featured in Brad & Sherry Hansen Steiger's book, PET MIRACLES. Her paintings, "God's Search & Rescue" and "Daffodil" won special recognition in international competitions. Sandy has two published books, ABSTRACT REALITY and SPIRIT SPOTTERS. Sandy's dreams inspired her to write THE WALK-IN. She believes these events actually happened in some unknown place and time. She also supports the theory Walk-Ins exist and thrive in present day society. In 2011, Sandy founded Spiritspotters and spends her weekends ghost hunting. The book cover is an actual photograph of a ghost child she caught on camera while investigating a Boy Scout camp in South Carolina.
