Synopsis

This is the Kindergarten through 2nd Grade version of a journal designed to be used by children working together with their parents to help them get to know God better through prayer and Bible study at their level. The journal includes Bible lessons, memory verses and a prayer journal. This was developed to be used in conjunction with the Kid Zone program of the Washington Crossing United Methodist Church, and follows the scope and sequence of the David C. Cook Tru Curriculum, as adapted for use in that church.Children in the Kid Zone program will receive a free copy of this book.

Becky Howell, or "Miss Becky" as she is known to the children of the Washington Crossing United Methodist Church, received her M. Div. from Evangelical School of Theology in Myerstown, PA, and a Master's degree in Historical Theology from Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. Melissa Monti, "Miss Melissa", is the Children's Pastor at Washington Crossing United Methodist Church. We want to see children of all ages learn to love God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. We believe that God is big enough to stand up to the questions of curious and involved minds, and worth worshiping with all that is in us, even if all our questions have not yet been answered. We may never have all the answers, but we are loved by a God who does have the answers. God sent Jesus to die on a cross so that we could get to know him and be changed by his love. We believe that the God of the Bible is a God who has never stopped speaking to people, who still speaks today to the hearts of those who will listen, and we want to help children learn to hear from God.
