One tiny Eastern European nation did, however, and that country was Bulgaria. Already by March 10th, 1943, over 11,000 Macedonian and Thrace Jews from Bulgarian Annexed territories were on their way to the gas chambers of Treblinka. Now the rest of the 49,000 plus Bulgarian Jews are poised to meet the same tragic fate.
