Irene Morrison received her M.S. in statistics from Hahnemann Medical University. We can thank Ohio State for employing her as a curriculum designer, thus saving the world from yet one more mediocre research scientist. She is happy to tell you that she hasn’t uttered the words “statistically significant” or “standard regression analysis” since her graduation day. As an instructional technologist at a nuclear site in South Carolina, she wrote computer manuals, designed curriculum, and taught software classes to plant personnel. One of her favorite projects involved writing the software user manual for the engineers who blended the fuel to send the Cassini spacecraft to Saturn. She has published newspaper and magazine articles. Her co-workers remember her for the quirky and certifiably warped stories that she wrote and taped to her office door, some of which served as the basis for this book. She lives in upstate New York with two gloxinias and a philodendron.
