Laura Madeline Wiseman is the author of twelve collections of poetry, including the full-length books Queen of the Platform (Anaphora Literary Press, 2013) and Sprung (San Francisco Bay Press, 2012), the chapbook Stranger Still (Finishing Line Press, 2013), and the collaborative book Intimates and Fools (Les Femmes Folles Books, 2014) with artist Sally Deskins. She is also the editor of Women Write Resistance: Poets Resist Gender Violence (Hyacinth Girl Press, 2013). Her work has appeared in Prairie Schooner, Margie, Collagist, Valparaiso, Arts & Letters, Poet Lore, Feminist Studies, and elsewhere. She has received an Academy of American Poets Award, a Mari Sandoz/Prairie Schooner Award, a Susan Atefact Peckham Fellowship, and the Wurlitzer Foundation Fellowship.
