Born and bred in Johannesburg, South Africa, Joanne Macgregor is a counselling psychologist in private practice. She works mainly with victims of crime and trauma. She started her professional life as a high school English teacher and has also been an IT trainer, a theatre dogsbody, and a "Big 4" business consultant (a personal low). She lives in Johannesburg but escapes to the mountains and the seaside whenever she can. Joanne believes that the youth of today will be the true guardians of planet earth and hopes that they will do a better job than adults have so far. She has always been in love with words and with nature. She is a pretty good cook, which is appreciated by her family and their seriously fat and demented beagle.
