Sections on the normal physiology, biochemistry, biology and molecular biology of the blood cells and clotting factors are included as is the physiology of normal haemopoiesis and lymphocyte development, and of the functions of blood cells. This new edition includes a chapter on blood transfusion and the appendices include details on cytogenetics and monoclonal antibodies in haematological diagnosis.
