The book is divided into three parts: Part A – Introduction and Plan of the 16th Edition. Part B – Arrangement of each chapter. This part summarises the content and scope of the Regulations, the objectives to be achieved through compliance with them, and the fundamental safety requirements. Part C –Topic Charts for Decision–Making and Guidance. This part gives guidance on topics such as protection against electric shock; isolation and switching; special installation or locations; inspection and testing, and much more. The Second Edition of the book has been revised and updated to take account of Amendment 2 of the Regulations.
