Paul has been boating all his life. He has sailed the South Coast of England, the Mediterranean, and the Caribbean. He has completed a circumnavigation of Australia. This took him sixty years. He did it in stages and on boats ranging from sailing yachts, and motor cruisers to Cunard Queens. So, you can trust his navigational skills. He knows that to round this continent, you just need to keep Australia on the left. In all this bumbling, Paul has gained considerable experience. He claims at some time or other, he has made most mistakes. Sometimes twice. This has the benefit or recalling the circumstance and knowing that it does not end well. With a sense of humour as twisted as a spinnaker around a forestay, Paul explains cruising pitfalls and what not to do in a crisis.
