Originally this book formed part of a bigger volume entitled “Globalization: Culture, Spirituality and Human Evolution”. The manuscript has been with me for quite some time. The life and durability of anything depend perhaps upon the degree of strength with which it is marketed.
This covers only the ‘the evolutionary dimension’ of my book on Globalization, only about one-fifth of the book. I believe that this book contains significant messages for mankind. The idea of writing on this theme evolved when I was asked to deliver a lecture on ‘Globalization and Culture’ at Sree Narayana Gurukula at Varkala in Kerala in 2000. It is my habit to explore a problem from all possible perspectives. So, when I viewed the global process of globalization from the perspectives of evolution, I gained many insights. Two books came my way. One was a compilation of the works of Sri Aurobindo called ‘The Future Evolution of Man’, published by the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry. The second was ‘The Future of Man’ by the French Jesuit scientist Teilhard de Chardin. I had already gone through his previous work, the immortal classic ‘The Phenomenon of Man’. Hence, I started thinking on the lines shown to me by Sri Aurobindo and deChardin. Somehow, they did not serve my purpose. I found the real yoga or technology of the future evolution of humankind in Tamil literature specifically in the Thirukkural, in the Siddha literature, and in Swami Ramalinga’s books. ‘From whom does it come?’ This question has never troubled me. Is it the truth? That is my only concern as a seeker after truth.
I consider it my duty as a human being to advance humanity to the next stage in evolution. I am eager and ready to listen to any message from any tradition, big or small, well known, or hidden. I am the proud possessor of all traditions irrespective of creed, caste, color, or time. I am a citizen of the world. This world has given me so much and I am thankful for it. When I leave this world, I wish to leave behind a better and more peaceful place for future generations, if I were to leave it.
The ideas expressed and the solutions forwarded in this small volume may not be acceptable to all. No idea will be. At least give your attention to the problems; humankind may not progress to the next level in evolution without solving these problems.

Originally part of a larger volume titled "Culture, Spirituality and Human Evolution," this manuscript focuses solely on the evolutionary aspect of globalization, representing about one-fifth of the original work. The impetus for writing arose from a lecture on 'Globalization and Culture' delivered in 2000 at Sree Narayana Gurukula in Kerala. My exploration of globalization through the lens of evolution yielded numerous insights. Influenced by the works of Sri Aurobindo and Teilhard de Chardin, I sought to understand future human evolution. However, I found deeper insights in Tamil literature, particularly in the Thirukkural, Siddha texts, and the writings of Swami Ramalinga. My primary concern is the pursuit of truth, and I feel a responsibility to contribute to humanity's evolutionary progress. I am open to messages from all traditions, regardless of their recognition or obscurity, and I embrace a global perspective. My gratitude for the world drives my desire to leave it a better place for future generations. While the ideas and solutions presented may not resonate with everyone, I urge readers to engage with the challenges posed, as addressing these issues is crucial for humanity's advancement to the next evolutionary stage.
