À propos des auteurs

Katie Kokavec is a primary school teacher living on the Sunshine Coast, Australia with her husband and three daughters. Katie takes great joy in reading picture books to young children and was inspired to write her own. It has brought her great delight seeing the text brought to life through the illustrations. At the time of writing this book, Katie lived in Lilli Pilli on the south coast of NSW. My Beach has been written through the eyes of her children from early experiences of all that the beach has to offer at various times throughout the day. With the passing years, the beach continues to be a place they love to go to refresh, reflect and to relax. The themes of time and change are reflected throughout.

Carla Barton is a 15-year-old self-taught artist from QLD, Australia. She loves being part of Musical Theatre productions with her brother and sister, singing and learning the piano. Previously, when living on the east coast of Australia, she would enjoy walks on a nearby beach with her Swiss Shepherd dog. Though the beach seemed to be constantly changing, it always remained. Illustrating this book was a great reminder that even though life changes, there are always things that stay constant.
