Biographie de l'auteur

Seymour Simon has been called "the dean of the [children’s science] field” by the New York Times. Simon is the author of nearly 300 highly-praised science books, more than seventy-five of which have been named Outstanding Science Trade Books for Children by the National Science Teachers Association. His recent books include: A Shipmate’s Guide to Our Solar System: EARTH; The Mighty Ants and Other Cases; and Coral Reefs.

Byron Barton is the author-illustrator of many picture books for young children, including My Car, My Bus Board Book, and Boats. Barton has also illustrated books for the visionary children’s science writer, Seymour Simon. Barton’s honors include six ALA Notable Book Awards, five SLJ Best Books of the Year selections, and two Reading Rainbow picks.
