She has recorded four albums, of which her first sold over a million copies worldwide, and won a Grammy in 1994 for her rap anthem U.N.I.T.Y. She has appeared in films such as Spike Lee's 'Jungle Fever', 'House Party 2', 'My Life', 'Set It Off' and most recently alongside Holly Hunter and Danny DeVito in 'Living Out Loud'.
