Merrily Weisbord is the recipient of three Canada Council Awards for her nonfiction writing, most recently for From Montreal to Malabar, a journey with South Indian writer Kamala Das. She was Concordia University's first creative nonfiction writer-in-residence, and is a board member of the Quebec Writers Federation.
