Zane Grey (1872 –1939) was known for his American frontier novels and in particular Riders of the Purple Sage (1912). He attended the University of Pennsylvania on a baseball scholarship and later played minor league baseball before turning his hand to writing and dentistry. His books were later turned into Hollywood movies and he eventually moved to California to be closer to his work in the film industry. He died in 1939 in California. BOOKS BY ZANE GREY INCLUDE: 1.
