Synopsis

For C programmers, 3D Graphics Programming: Games and Beyond is a comprehensive guide to 3D computer graphics that not only puts emphasis on techniques used in computer games, but also explains the key mathematical concepts upon which 3D computer graphics libraries - such as OpenGL and Direct3D - are built. Making the difficult topics easy to understand through clear explanations and illustrations of algorithms in action, this book's structured approach offers descriptions of the most useful algorithms combined with practical programming examples and enables you to create your own libraries if necessary. This book describes the theoretical and practical issues of 3D graphics programming and gives code examples and illustrations of vital concepts using 3Dgpl, a well-commented graphics library for examination, change, or use (included on the CD-ROM).
