Together with a mysterious French philosopher, Monsieur Arouet, he finds himself embroiled in the investigation of the murder of a religious nobleman, the consequences of which will keep the reader hooked to the very end.

Jim Williams is a lawyer by profession and an avid student of history in his spare time. The author of several books written under the pseudonym Richard Hugo, Jim Williams' most recent novels are SCHERZO and RECHERCHE. He lives with his wife and three children in Stockport.
