A propos du livre

Présentation de l'éditeur

As World War II ends, four young women who met in service and became close friends leave to return to their former lives. The war has changed each of them, and brought some of them great personal loss, and none of them can possibly know what the future will hold.
Celia heads for Paris where she works tirelessly to provide relief for the returning prisoners of war. Amy returns to her privileged and wealthy family and a fairy-tale wedding. Peggy goes home to her poor, but close-knit family, and a very different kind of wedding. And Joyce, who tragically lost her fiance in the war finds new love with a GI, and follows him to the States.
