Hardcover. Etat : Near Fine. Etat de la jaquette : Very Good. 1st Edition. Beautiful rare hardback first edition copy of this chilling "horror" story. A title from the Paperbacks From Hell book, but this title truly exists in a hellish category of its own. Really well written bleak look at human nature which the author apparently meant as a political allegory. In clean black boards with title embossed on front and has white and red on spine. In very good unclipped jacket now in protective Mylar. One one quarter of an inch tear at top left of front and half inch vertical tear at top right of back cover. Author photo on back cover. $6.95 original price on jacket. Complete number line on copyright page down to "1". N° de réf. du vendeur RH210

Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Near Fine. 1st Edition. Thomas Y. Crowell Company, New York, 1974, first edition. Mendall William Johnson, generally called Johnny by friends and relatives, was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1928 and he died in Maryland, the setting for this book in 1976, just 2 years after this, his only novel, was published. From the blurb "It's only a game," Barbara, the lovely twenty-year old baby-sitter, told herself as she awoke bound and gagged and guarded by thirteen-year old Bobby. This book, 282 pages, is in very good condition with its primary fault a binding slant. The dust jacket is in near fine condition and is enclosed in a protective mylar wrap. This is a very acceptable copy of a scarce book in the horror catalogue, and one that seems to have a bit of a cult following. N° de réf. du vendeur 8761
