I began working on my cookbook to pass down to my daughters since 1992. After the massive budget cuts in California, and being pink slipped from my job as a special education teacher, I started a business called Pink Slip Publications. I felt the need to continue my cookbook with the focus of giving back to our society because of the program cuts in education.
