J.K. grew up in Las Vegas - fleeing the heat - she and her husband escaped to the Pacific Northwest 3+ decades ago. Her savored moments are those spent with her husband - the love of her life, as well as her children and grandchildren. Two dachshunds at her feet keep her days active as she spends her retired time saturated in her passions for photography, growing flowers and of course writing. As an author and photographer J.K.'s love for people and nature is portrayed both through visually descriptive prose (devotional studies in Nature vs Spiritual, non-fiction short stories and essays) as well as through the eye of the camera. Her spiritual passion for worship and the presence of the Lord draws her continually to see freedom proclaimed and released to others through the finished work on the cross of Jesus. As an author, her books include: a 4 book devotional series (Winters Rest (2014), Spring's Assurance (2015), Summer's Delight (2015), Fall's Yield (2015)) Inspirational collection (Reflection of His Glory (2015)), Multiple journals and a Prayer Journal (Access to the Throne (2017)) as well as contributor to (Keeper of the Faith (2016). As a photographer she has participated throughout Washington in gallery events and fairs, has photographed weddings, memorials, children, pets and personal portraits, currently has a published CD of her graphic landscape photographs (Names of God (2016)) as well as contribution of photographs for (Keeper of the Faith (2016)).
