To be a conflict photographer is to document the living atrocities and the depth of human madness. It is to watch and collect the pain, and suffering of others. It is to watch war. What does it mean to return from observing war? To escape what others live? To tell a story and be gifted safety? Is there ever a normal again? Room for love? Or are you defined by being an observer to the destruction we sow. The debut novel of Portlander Mark Mizrahi.
