Hardcover. Etat : New. First International Edition. 630pp. Quarto [29cm]. Glossy illustrated paper over boards. Amsterdam's Festival of Fools further was part of a new international movement called Physical Theater, most famously exemplified by Cirque du Soliel, Blue Man Group, and the Lion King on Broadway. "Amsterdam's Compleat Fools" collects reproductions of actual items and relics from five decades nearly full-sized colorful programs that audiences held in their hands as they watched these shows in action; bright posters from the streets and theaters; artwork and photography from abroad; actual relics from the 70's, 80's, 90's, and the Millennium rescued from dresser drawers, old office shelves and filing cabinets. There are eyewitness tales from both sides of the stage and on the road. These accounts also include some drawings by author Michael Evans from his vantage point in the Western USA, which includes scenes from SLC's own history from the Cosmic Aeroplane, real SLC Punk-Rock, KRCL Community Radio, the Zephyr, and more!
