In his early teens, Jim Griffiths ran away from home and quit school. The original plan was to get a job and do his best to stay out of jail. Distracted by associating with people that knew how to win, Jim found himself in a position to quit what America defines as “working” at a fairly young age. He had no family money, he didn’t break any laws, and he didn’t win anything. Jim studied what people consider the “traits of an entrepreneur” and he adopted their habits. "Don't Tell Me I Can't Do It!" is Jim's message about how the act of entrepreneurism is about business, yet the entrepreneur is a person. If you focus on building the person first, you will build a stronger enterprise.

Jim Griffiths divides his time between North Carolina and southern Florida sharing The Third Draft, a class he wrote curriculum for based on developing entrepreneurial habits and behaviors. The phrase comes from a well-prepared speech where a first draft may be notes scratched on a napkin. The second may be good and worth using, but writing that Third Draft is where things come to life and capture people’s attention. It’s the difference between a speech that was listened to, and one that was heard. The message is to not let your life be a second draft. He’s had great success communicating secrets that lie within the layers of entrepreneurial thinking, and his goal is to have the Third Draft’s curriculum available to the public, in schools, and as a class in correctional facilities nationwide. www.TheThirdDraft.org Jim is available as an inspirational speaker for schools, colleges and business organizations. He can be contacted through: www.TheGriffithsGroup.com (The Third Draft is a registered trademark)
