This is a story about the life and legacy of singer Vickie Hamilton also known as The First Lady of Soul. Vickie was born in Virginia and raised in Detroit during the era of segregation in 1946. After her dad, Reverend CH Hamilton discovers her musical gift, Vickie touches the world with her amazing talents. She also uses her success, and songs to impact the Civil Rights movement and the Women’s movement. And in this story Vickie is being honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom for all of her contributions to America. However, three incidents occur while Vickie is about to be honored. An Afro-American man named Marshawn Harvin is killed during a traffic stop by a police officer. As a result, Pro Football players protest the killing by not honoring the National Anthem. The third thing that occurs is a young Gangsta Rap superstar Trigga Mike goes on social media and blasts the police, the Pro Football League, and old school stars like Vickie Hamilton, and her boyfriend Tall Paul Williams “for honoring that Anthem and an America.” Trigga Mike’s social media rants causes old school Soul singer Vickie to clash with new school Rapper Trigga Mike.
