Maurice Turmel PhD, AKA “Dr Moe,” is a retired psychologist with over four decades of experience in personal growth and the helping professions. Those early years of personal growth pursuits were then coupled with traditional psychological training which led to his growing passion for a deeper understanding of the spiritual and mythological foundations of modern psychology. Today, Dr Moe describes himself as a Spiritual Psychologist, integrating traditional psychology with New Thought spiritual practices in order to provide a clearer picture of who we are as a divinely sourced human species. Dr Moe’s writings include inspirational short stories and poetry in an early collection titled “Mythical Times,” a spiritual sci-fi novel: “The Voice;” a non-fiction follow-up to the novel: “Conscious Evolution;” and a healing book of short stories, poetry, reflections and coping strategies titled: “How to Cope with Grief and Loss.” Dr Moe is also an avid songwriter with dozens of compositions reflecting the same themes as those addressed in his books.
