Isaiah 50:4 (NIV) says, “The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary”. That word from me is through poetry. This collection of poems is a way for me to communicate empathy for others. I pray that the lyrics will warm persons’ hearts, bring inspiration and encouragement during difficult times and most of all give them peace in the midst of their storms.

Margaret Gilbert is a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. After serving in the United States Air Force for over 30 years, she retired as the Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 118th Airlift Wing, located in Nashville, Tennessee. Growing things is her passion, therefore, being selected to serve and develop the airman population of the 118th Airlift Wing came natural to her. She believes that one of the purposes for her creation was to serve others and help them reach their maximum potential through inspiration, encouragement and teaching them to practice sound life principles based on the word of God.
