Tammy Oberg De La Garza, PhD, is an assistant professor in the College of Education at Roosevelt University, teaching and conducting research in literacy, language development, and learning within Latino communities. She currently lives in Chicago with her husband, Rey, and their teenagers, Sierra and Alex.

Alyson Leah Lavigne, PhD, is an assistant professor in the College of Education at Roosevelt University and researches teacher evaluation. She currently lives in Chicago with her husband, Erick, and their son, Leonardo.
