You’re young and you aspire to be a good leader—where do you turn for help? Whether you’re new to leadership and need the basics, somewhat experienced but overwhelmed, or mostly established and looking to get ahead, this book contains proven strategies to keep you competitive…and sane. Through a series of practical, concise, easy-to-follow lessons honed through the experience of a young leader, this book challenges others to achieve the fundamental skills that shape success. It’s a groundbreaking effort that touts accessible leadership learning as a means to groom, develop, and promote the many who will guide our future. Older leaders are phasing out of the workforce; younger ones are establishing themselves. Serious challenges persist, but so do incredible opportunities. Newer generations are concerned, but also eager to influence a rapidly changing world. We don’t talk enough about emerging leaders, though we need good ones desperately—in business, government, the social sector, and elsewhere. The Young Leader kicks off a conversation long overdue—one that should be a priority for us all.
