"Another at the Pool: When Healing Doesn't Come, with Reflection Guide" is ideal for individual or group study. Much more than a story of survival, it is an essential source for spiritual and emotional growth. For all those who face chronic challenges, or for those whose loved ones do, this book is for you. You will find difficult issues discussed in depth, with compassion and hope. This book uses personal experience as a springboard to examine such topics as grief, denial, depression, anger, loneliness and faith. This book is for anyone who has suffered a deep loss. Especially, this book is for those for whom deliverance has not come, and for those who live with or otherwise minister to such individuals. This book chronicles the author's battle with lupus, meningitis, and chronic illness. It explores the nature of the illness itself as well as the physical, emotional, and spiritual struggles faced along the way. It is written as a guide to help others who face similar situations. *** The Reflection Guide contains additional valuable material and information. Each section includes: * Personal reflection questions. * Additional thoughts and insights from the author. * Specific challenge to the reader. * Scripture to comfort and strengthen.
