Emma Apple writes and illustrates children’s books for families who want unique, Science, Qur’an and Sunnah friendly bookshelves. She encourages kids to think big thoughts and expand their knowledge while accepting the limits of our understanding. Helping them to grasp complex concepts using authentic Islamic sources and scientific facts. Her debut as an author-illustrator, How Big Is Allah? was independently published in 2014 and quickly reached #1 in the Amazon Islamic Children’s category, it sold over 1,000 copies within the first year. The follow up book How Does Allah Look? was published in 2015 and reached #1 in the Amazon Islamic Children’s category on its first day. . When she's not writing, designing pretty things or creating communities, Emma can be found with her husband, daughter and son, kayaking, visiting museums or reading picture books with their story-loving parrot, Ash. Fun facts: 1 - Emma is famous for her love of yellow. 2 - She lives in beautiful Chicago, but is actually from New Zealand. 3 - Emma's a Trekkie and has seen all the Star Trek ever made. 4 - She owns two telescopes and is a regular star (and planet) gazer.
