Dr. Rafael Medoff is founding director of The David S. Wyman Institute for Holocaust Studies in Washington, D.C., and author of 15 books about Jewish history and the Holocaust. He has written Holocaust-related comic strips for the "Washington Post," the "Los Angeles Times," "The New Republic," and the Marvel Comics miniseries "Magneto: Testament." He is also the writer for the Disney Educational Productions series of animated shorts, "They Spoke Out: American Voices Against the Holocaust." Medoff won a 2014 Simon Rockower Award for excellence in Jewish Journalism from the American Jewish Press Association. Craig Yoe, an Eisner Award-winner, is a former Creative Director and Vice President General Manager for the Muppets. Jim Henson once said, “Craig brings with him his valuable creativity and enthusiasm. He has a nice mix of business and creative talent.” Yoe has written or edited nearly 100 books in the field of comics and cartooning history. "USA Today" has called Yoe “the comic book genre’s master archaeologist.” Craig Yoe and Clizia Gussoni are the creators of the Unilever Corporation’s internationally-acclaimed program of using superhero comic books to educate children about hygiene. More than 20 million of the comics, translated into 19 languages, have brought potentially lifesaving behavioral changes to at-risk children in 23 countries.
