God's gonna trouble the water ... The Wade family would never forget that summer. They hadn't planned on forgetting it. They'd expected to catalogue each and every memory, so that years later, when summers weren't as "summery" as they'd once been, they could turn to one another and say "Remember that time we–––?" or "Wasn't it a laugh when–––?" But instead they would come to remember it for the loss of a child –– for the time four siblings became three. For little Julie Wade who vanished from a carousel. Fifteen years later, they're different people, leading different lives, taking separate paths. Through love, friendship, faith and doubt just one thing will remain the same –– one simple human truth: Grief is the price we pay for love.
