Janis Guymon lives in San Diego, CA and is a proud daughter of a trash man. As a teenager on summer break she was allowed to ride with him on his route and was amazed to see how many customers came out to greet him by name, give him cool water, or smile and wave from their window. As an adult, Janis worked for some small, medium, and large trash companies. She came to appreciate what a difference it makes in our lives if we have good trash men keeping the world a cleaner place each day. She hopes to inspire young children everywhere to appreciate the people who provide this important service and to help the children of trash men to be very proud of their parents.
