And likely, no one would believe her if she told them she had become a fish.

Timothy Joseph is a senior scientist, freelance technical writer, former science teacher grades 7–12, college profes-sor, corporate manager, weekly newspaper columnist, and is well published as a Ph.D. Ecologist/Biologist. Writing is his passion, and toward that end, he gives creative writing talks at local high schools and organizations. His writing centers around the depth of living and understanding life and love. His search for and scrutiny of purpose, empathy, and love has taught him concepts and truths he endeavors to put into words through the use of voice, style, and metaphor. Dr. Joseph believes children can learn about love, empa-thy, ecology, biology, and even scientific notation through reading exciting stories, thus he created The Chronicles of Daphne. The biology in this series is all accurate, and chil-dren aren’t aware that they are learning science as they journey with Daphne in her many exciting adventures, each a separate chronicle. In this first chronicle, she becomes a fish; in the second chronicle, Beneath Her Wings, Daphne becomes a Hawk; in the third, Tickle My Bark, a tree; and in the fourth, Flit-Factor-Five, a butterfly. If your child would like to see Daphne become a special animal/creature, let the publisher know and just maybe, in an upcoming chronicle, she will be that creature. If she does, your child will be given an autographed copy of that chronicle. Tim has authored novels, including My Water Path, po-etry, children’s books, and nonfiction. He received a Techni-cal Communication Award of Excellence, his literary writing has won awards, and he was recognized by the Tennessee Arts Commission. Tim and his wife Marsha live in Rockwood, TN.
