Born to a Filipina mother and an Italian-American father, Donna Lee Miele’s complex roots are also uniquely New York. Her life balancing three intertwined cultures has inspired a lifelong interest in how culture informs personality, relationships, and life choices. Donna’s fiction has been published in Red Fez (from which she received a 2016 Pushcart nomination), Atticus Review, and MendaCity Review. She cofounded River River Writers, a nonprofit writers' support initiative in Nyack, New York and, along with her River River cohorts, generally stirring the local writing soup. She received her MFA in 2014 from Manhattanville College.
