I have come to discover something absolutely profound and perfectly me — I love to collect information. That is the million dollar question I am going to help you answer through these pages.

I didn’t know there was meaning behind some of the madness. I didn’t know there was a purpose behind the pain. I didn’t know that good or bad, joyful or painful, in the right hands at the right time I could grow in wisdom and understanding about me, life and the journey we are all on. In the pages of this book, you will find honesty and frankness that may be challenging to you. There are times when I will risk transparency for the sake of showing you what a spiritual life can become when placed in the hands of the Divine Being. Then there will be an episode here or there that may completely take you by surprise and raise the question, “Why would you go there, Ron?” There are many roads that lead to success but all of them have one thing in common — adversity and failure are obstacles to destiny. How you handle the adversity and failures will make or break you in more ways than one.

Be encouraged though, because I have found through it all if it doesn’t kill you, it will make you stronger. Eugene Peterson couldn’t have written it any plainer, “GOD rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.” (Proverbs 19:25, The MSG) There is something very special about you and your journey. There is meaning to your life. There is a reason for your being here. It may not all make sense now but the journey of discovery is well worth the time.

Let’s walk together and explore what is in you that you didn’t know was there or you had a hard time describing what was there. I bet you will feel better and be encouraged when you realize the sentiment of Sybil Chavis is true “So many more good things are coming down the road . . . Just keep walking.”

Ronald D Williams, Jr is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and is married to Janene. He has a BS Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management Information Systems from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. He graduated from Webster University with a MA Degree in Computer Resources and Information Management. He is a graduate of Andrews University Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary where he earned a Doctor of Ministry degree in Urban Ministry and a Master of Divinity Degree. Currently, serving as a congregational pastor, Ron is passionate about Jesus, in love with his wife, and seeks to encourage the lost through dynamic gospel preaching that speaks to contemporary issues.
