Finally! Here is a proven, research based way to drink and lower your risk for problems. Up until now, there have been two primary messages when it comes to drinking alcohol: “just say no” or the even more ambiguous “drink responsibly.” Why ambiguous? Because if you ask five random people to define responsible drinking, you’ll get five completely different answers. So this invalidates the term because it can be defined in so many different ways. This book offers some solid, actionable guidelines for you to follow in order to keep you safe, healthy, and out of trouble when you choose to drink. Basically, this book is going to teach you how to drink!

Randy Haveson has been working in the substance abuse field since 1986. He has a Master’s degree in Counseling and has held positions in agencies, private practices, and in the counseling centers of prominent universities around the country. Today he is an author, speaker, and consultant. His passion is helping people make positive choices in their lives and avoid self-destructive pitfalls. And he knows self-destructive pitfalls. In May, 1984 Randy began his own journey into recovery from cocaine and alcohol addiction. He likes to joke that he has an MA in Counseling and a PhD in personal experience. Now he’s using that experience to teach others how to not go down that same path. His favorite tagline is that he is a recovering alcoholic that teaches people how to drink!
