March 20, 2000 was the most difficult day of my life. In the morning, I found out my best friend from college was being sentenced 3-15 years in prison. That afternoon my mom suddenly passed away. My friend’s dreams and goals were dying and my mom had literally died. Over the next three years my friend and I got reconnected. I got to share his journey. It has changed me. In this book, A Journey Back, I want to share his real life experiences and show how one can go from the pits of despair to a life of hope and meaning. Each chapter starts with his actual thoughts and words. Included are copies of the cards I sent him. I trust through this book, those who are in prison and even those who are “free” but trapped by life, will find the hope, value, purpose, and meaning that can only come through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Dr. Randy T. Johnson and his wife, Angela, have been in ministry for over 30 years. He has degrees from William Tyndale College, Dallas Theological Seminary, Trinity Theological Seminary, and Andersonville Theological Seminary. He has written "LOST Lessons", "And Then Some", "Little While Times", and "Dream in English".
