Chapman's goals is to make sure her readers feel the same type of empowerment and affirmation that students feel on HBCU campuses.

Veronica N. Chapman is an entrepreneur and author, having written and produced a motivational play for teens, Ancestors Inc., and self-published three books, The Advent of Planet Martyr: An Innovative Social Commentary and children's books I Know I Can! and King Khalid is Proud. ​ A graduate of Spelman College (B.A. in Spanish) and Babson College (M.B.A.), Veronica commits her gifts and ideas to improving the world. To fulfill her commitment, she founded Boxxout Enterprises where she designs creative solutions for social change.

​Daveia Odoi is a seasoned graphic designer and illustrator known mostly for her delightful character illustrations reflecting people of color. She shares her gifts by offering creative services through her company DNT Dynamite Design and also through her branded collection of products called "The DynaSmiles by DNT". When not creating, Daveia is enjoying life in New Jersey with her husband and their young son.
