Synopsis

Over 13 centuries old, the Japanese form of tanka, often referred to as “small songs”, are poetry of thought, feeling and personal reflection. Using symbolic, metaphorical and imaginative language, Pris Campbell explores the passion of a first love shaped and affected by the Vietnam War, of a second love sculpted by the sea and betrayal, and a lasting love that continues to be a sanctuary as the world storms around her.
