Synopsis

Poetry is a versatile art. It can be used to convey happiness, sorrow, philosophy, and rage. Through poetry we can share our hopes for the future as well as the tortures of our past. In "Happy Thoughts & Ramblings", Joshua W. McWhorter shares a small piece of a conflicted soul. In his first published collection you'll discover a wide range of content and style ranging from the epic "Tir na nOg Tetralogy" to the bittersweet "My Happy Thought". "Happy Thoughts & Ramblings" is at different points and all at once reflective, loving, belligerent, conservative, and non-conformist. Like the best of art, it reflects the artist himself. We introduce you now to the poetry of Joshua W. McWhorter. Enjoy!

À propos de l'auteur

Joshua W. McWhorter was born 75 million years ago in the Galactic Confederation of Lord Xenu. He came to Earth via time-space displacement circa 1986 in an effort to corrupt the weakling minds of humanity. In an unfortunate twist of circumstance, his devious mind was separated from his body and forced to take refuge in the form of a pitiful human infant. As a result he had no choice but to live amongst and as one of them until the day he might ultimately enact his plot. His interests include genetic manipulation, programmable memory implants, and the chemical composition of salt water taffy. He enjoys long walks on the beach, puppies, and the collected works of the visionary film director John Hughes. He spent his earthbound adolescence in the Rio Grande Valley where he succeeded in vanquishing the notorious Chupacabra. He currently resides in Garland, TX where he plots his impending revenge against the inescapable feminine wiles of Jessica Rabbit.
