In the short story "Overcoming A Life Of Turmoil, Losing A Child In The Midst Of It”, Author Barbara Johnson Simpson display her life before and after losing her daughter. Barbara Johnson Simpson is the mother of three. Born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana graduating Fair Park High School. She furthered her education, graduating from Southern University in Shreveport, Louisiana. She also attended Wiley College in Marshall, Texas and received her Master’s Degree at Grambling State University-Grambling, Louisiana. Barbara enjoyed a career spanning from working in municipal entities parish and city government, a K-12 educator, and a Director of a homeless shelter for women and children. Barbara has experience in the financial banking. She has also worked in the mental health profession. Barbara successfully, ran a political campaign for Caddo Parish School Board District Two run-off election, while serving on the Northwest Louisiana Human Service District and second Vice President of the NAACP Shreveport Chapter. She continues to serve Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Barbara lives and is available in two locations: The greater Chicago area, and Shreveport Louisiana, where she is a minister in training, up under the leadership of Bishop, Larry Lawrence Brandon; of Praise Temple Full Gospel Shreveport.
