Sadhna grew up reading, writing, and glued to the TV watching shows like Wonder Woman, Super Friends, The Bionic Woman and Charlie's Angels. She is also an enthusiastic and unrepentant Star Wars geek. Although she is not as brave, strong, or fearless as the female characters she admired from her childhood, she likes to consider herself a rebel. Sadhna's love of books started during her childhood. While her mother's "wanderlust" saw the family circling the globe, Sadhna could always count on the wonder and magic of books to keep her grounded as they were a source of comfort and constancy. She has been heavily influenced by writers like Stan Lee, Jane Austen, Anna Sewell, J.R.R. Tolkien, and countless others. Sadhna drew inspiration for her debut picture book Firehouse 1: Fire at the Bakery from her children, her dad a retired police officer, and her cousin a fire chief.
