Synopsis

This Award-Winning urban fantasy draws you into the supernatural world of the New Orleans French Quarter. When Lilly LaCouer escapes from her abusive husband, she finds refuge with Panthea's Coven, a group of mystical witches. While learning the secrets of magick, performing rituals, and opening to visionary experiences, Lilly discovers her faery ancestry and the power within her reach. She becomes the guardian of the ancient Jewel of Inanna, a crystal holding a violet flame. Lilly falls in love her life is filled with love, music, and magick. Unknown to her, an ancient nemesis has arrived in the French Quarter and covets the Jewel of Inanna. Lilly faces betrayal, abduction, and torture. The supernatural forces in the French Quarter band together to create a ritual powerful enough to defeat the darkness, lift a curse, and restore Lilly's health. This magical adventure takes you from the mystical rituals of Panthea's Coven to dark sorcery in an attic chamber. Lilly dances to the beat of ritual drums, drinks electric kool-aid, tangles with the dark forces, and meets the spirit of the plumed serpent, Quetzalcoatl. In the Jewel of Inanna, you can travel with Lilly to the home of the Fae in the Dark Bayou and fall through space and time in an ancient pyramid hidden in the swamp. The Jewel of Inanna conspires to expose dark magick and reveal ancient secrets. Lilly's adventures are filled with enchantment, romance, rituals, magick, and a cast of powerful characters. Jewel of Inanna is part novel, part initiation, and one hundred percent entertaining.

A propos du livre

À propos de l'auteur

I spent most of my life in New Orleans and some of my adult life in the New Orleans French Quarter during the 1970's. It was in the French Quarter I met the magical, musical, eccentric, and talented inhabitans who created a world unlike any other. My interaction with the wonderful milieu in the Quarter helped shape who I am today. My writing "career" began in eigth grade with a column for the school newspaper. My column focused on unusual and strange happenings. Yes, the dye was cast early. In the 1980's I channeled my creative energy into designing and making stain glass windows and raising my three children. In the 1990's I started a tour company in the French Quarter, Crescent Star Tours. My tours focused on ghost stories, the history of witchcraft and vodou and the rising of the feminine energy and the re-emmergence of Goddess awareness. My metaphysical training includes initiation and ordination as a priestess in the Fellowship of Isis, honoring the goddess of 10,000 names. Creation of the coven of the Crescent Star offering teachings through puplic ritual in New Orleans. After Hurricane Katrina, I moved to Asheville NC where I continue to write and will be offering the second book in the Perils of Pagan Priestess series in 2018. I also offer my services for celtic handfasting rituals, spiritual wedding ceremonies, home and business clearings and blessings.
